CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) ANNOUNCEMENT
The increasing pandemic threat forces us to take certain actions that will provide us all with even more security. We want to assure you that the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University will make every effort to ensure that teaching takes place without disturbances. We inform part-time students that classes on 17-18 October 2020 will take place normally, i.e. in accordance with the schedule included in the virtual dean’s office. The Induction meetings with students of the first years of studies, carried out during these days will also be conducted without any changes.
Detailed information on the didactic activities and their form (on-line) will soon be posted on the pages of the individual faculties. We remind you of the absolute obligation to wear masks on the premises of the University, to keep a social distance and frequent disinfection of hands.

Order of the Rector of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University on the provisional rules for verification of the learning outcomes stated in programmes of studies which will be conducted off the premises of the university, with the use of information technology.
Dear Students, In view of the epidemiological situation in the world and in accordance with the current regulations of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University regarding remote learning, the Physical Education Center informs that PE classes will be conducted on the e-learning platform until the end of the spring semester /14.06.2020/.

We kindly inform that in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 9 April 2020 amending the Regulation on temporary limitation of the functioning of certain entities of the higher education system and science in connection with preventing, protecting and combating COVID-19, the period of suspension of classes in studies, postgraduate and doctoral studies is extended until 24 May 2020.
At the same time, we would like to remind you that on-line – based classes using distance learning methods and techniques continue.
Pursuant to the Rector’s Ordinance No. 41/2020 of 28 April 2020, the following changes are made to the organisation of the winter semester credit:
1. The winter resit session in part-time studies is extended until 7 June 2020
2. Short-term conditional exams are extended to 5 June 2020 for full-time studies and to 21 June 2020 for part-time studies
3. The deadline for submitting diploma theses for students for whom the winter semester was the last semester according to study plans was extended until 15 June 2020
4. In addition, during the period of suspension or restriction of the functioning of the university, a simplified way of submitting applications for aid was introduced on the basis of the regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education.

Statement of Rector of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University (AFMKU) issued on 11 March 2020 on temporary suspension of classes for students and all participants of other forms of education due to preventive measures against the coronavirus SARS CoV-2 (COVID-19) infection in AFMKU
All classes for students and and participants of other forms of education in AFMKU are now suspended from 11 March 2020, until April 26 2020 inclusive.
According to Rector’s Order the international exchange of staff, students and doctoral students is suspended, in particular:
- work-related trips abroad of staff,
- visits of foreign guests,
- foreign trips and visits within the Erasmus + programme.
Information concerning waiver of interest and student benefits
Dear Students, Post-graduate students and Participants of doctoral seminars!
We would like to kindly inform you that following the decision of the Rector of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow Academy, statutory interest will not be charged for the late payment of fees for studies, post-graduate studies and doctoral seminars during the period of the suspension of classes at the University.
We would like to ensure that all classes provided for in the study plan will be conducted as distant learning and launched in an extraordinary mode, introduced by the Rector’s Regulation No. 22/2020 of March 13, 2020 on guidelines for distance learning implemented during the suspension of teaching classes and caused by the threat of SARS CoV-2 virus at Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow Academy
At the same time, we would like to state that students who, due to the ongoing epidemic of SARS CoV-2 coronavirus or its economic or labour market related consequences, will find themselves in difficult life situation, may apply for an allowance from the student benefits fund. Applications should be submitted by mail or to the university’s electronic mailbox available via ePUAP. Student allowances and scholarships are granted and paid on a regular basis.
Dear students and those participating in other forms of education,
We would like to inform you that direct service in Dean’s offices, the accounting department and other organisational units of AFMKU for students and those participating in other forms of education has been suspended from March, 16 until April 10, 2020 for safety reasons. Therefore, please contact the abovementioned via email, the telephone or traditional mail if necessary. We would also like to inform you that according to the regulation of the Ministry of Health on March, 13 2020 regarding the announcement of an epidemic emergency in the territory of the Republic of Poland, the activity of the library at AFMKU has been suspended until further notice. However, you can still use all its electronic resources online.
In connection with the numerous questions from students and lecturers regarding the rules of functioning of the university during the suspension of classes, below we present the answers to the most common questions. As the situation develops, the necessary information will be updated on a regular basis.
1 Does the suspension of classes mean that there are also no exams, office hours, lecturers‘ entries to grade books and diploma exams?
Yes, It means that everything is suspended.
2 Will the retake examination period in the part-time studies be extended?
Yes, the retake examination period for the part-time students in the fall semester will be extended. Decision on this matter will be announced in advanced.
3 Will the deadline for submitting the senior students‘ grade books be extended?
Yes, the deadline for submitting the grade books will be extended for all students. Students will not be charged for this.
4 What about the deadline for submitting the thesis?
For the period of suspension, the deadline for submitting the diploma thesis is suspended too. For this reason, students who are not in delay with submitting their diploma thesis on March 11, 2020 do not have to submit applications for their extension. At the same time, we strongly encourage all students to continue writing their thesis and remain in the email contact with their dissertation supervisors.
5 What about the student ID validity? Does it require an extention?
According to the declaration of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the student ID validity will be automatically extended ( until 31/05/2020 ), without the need to stick a new hologram.
6 Will the organization of the academic year change?
In the event of a longer break in classes, the summer semester ( including the examination period ) may be extended.
7 Will the cancelled classes be rescheduled?
E-learning classes should take place in accordance with the adopted plan of studies. We are currently working on developing the principles based on which the offer of classes conducted in the form of e-learning will be expanded. Furthermore, lecturers will be asked to provide students didactic materials in electronic form in those cases where full e-learning cannot be implemented. Information on this matter will be provided to students and lecturers in the near future.
Classes that cannot be carried out in the above forms ( e.g. practical calsses, apprenticeships, clinical classes in medical fields ) will be rescheduled.
8 What should I do if I have a case to do in the Dean’s Office or accounting department?
From 16 March until 10 April 2020 direct service for students and participants of other forms of education in Dean’s Offices, accounting department and other units is suspended. In case of any matter please contact via email or phone.
9 Can I use the library during the suspension of classes?
According to the regulation of the Ministry of Health on 13 March 2020 regarding the announcement of an epidemic emergency in the territory of the Republic of Poland, the activity of libraries has been temporarily limited. This means that it is not possible to use the reading room or borrow books and magazines, however, you can use all electronic recources online.
Due to the threat of the SARS CoV-2 (COVID-19) coronovirus epidemic, the Rector Authorities request all persons who have recently travelled to Northern Italy or other regions in which COVID-19 cases have been reported to comply with current communications of the Chief Sanitary Inspector posted at https://gis.gov.pl/kategoria/aktualnosci/
